Foundation Preparation

On Friday (August 10th) the work began to prepare the foundation for the eventual pouring of the slab. Our site is due to have the foundation poured on Tuesday and given that there are several 'squares' yet to be cut (the 'squares are where the supporting foundation, or support beams are to be poured), I don't see how they are going to finish before Tuesday. Of course all of this is 'weather permitting' but I'd say there was maybe less than 1/3 of the work completed yesterday and the weather was fine. Unless they are on site today and tomorrow (weather has been fine from early this morning until about now), I just don't see the likelihood of the site being finished off on Monday and ready for pour on Tuesday. It's due to rain today (sprinkling now) and then showers tomorrow and Monday, so this will be interesting to see how it turns out. As always, we'll check the site this weekend and report back if there have been any changes. Otherwise, we'll wait and see!
