They've Framed Us...

...well, the first floor anyway. Man, these guys work quickly! Had to go see the progress for myself tonight and couldn't help taking pictures for the blog.

Yes they do work very quickly in the beginning. Our slab was poured 2nd week of Jan, frame and brickwork followed very quickly (brick work in 3 days for a single story) Plumbing electrics and plaster was also very quick however then it hit the wall. Fixing stage took an eternity and at present we still haven't moved in.(my wife told some friends we are at shit house stage the bit between fixing and completion when nothing seems to happen!) I don't want to spoil the excitment of building a new home but don't get carried away with the speed of construction, take your time to look through the property thoroughly, make yourself familiar with the New Contracts Specification and down load a copy of the Standards and Tolerances from the Building Commision Web site. (Depending when you entered into the contract will determine which publication is relevant, the 2007 is more stringent than the 2002 version). Keep taking those photos it will make a great album at the end and also a good way to monitor the workmanship.

Cheers, hope things go well.
Inspector.
